Just uncheck it and when you turn on nameplates, you’ll only see enemy health bars and not your allies so your screen doesn’t get crowded. If you want to configure them to your liking you might want to check out an addon called Plater on curseforge. If I go to an alt, I no longer see NPC nameplates show above the NPC.
